An envelope of innovative features to get urban greening right
Augmented reality transforms how placemakers engage with their audience. After all, seeing is believing.
Wild Streets features photorealistic 3D vectors of trees and plants as well as street fixtures (benches, playgrounds, etc.). The app also offers preset micro-environments to stimulate imagination.
Let clients connect with a future space in a whole new way and encourage co-design to get it right.
Wild Streets offers a desktop plugin for CAD/BIM software that works as a data-enabled tool to design green infrastructure in four dimensions (space and time). It optimises leading software from a landscape perspective.
Design the greatest landscape potential for a site and manage client expectations from day one to full maturity.
Paired with the AR experience, Wild Streets will change how places are made.
The trees and plants used in Wild Streets are more than pixel deep. Choose from a catalog of species that have been pre-selected based on an ambitious scientific database. From air pollutant levels, flooding risk, and biodiversity loss, the species you choose have the data behind them to know where they will and won’t thrive, how they will grow, and what ecosystem benefits they will deliver.
Trees and plants are essential infrastructure with substantial environmental, economic, and human returns. They cool, shelter, soak up rain, block pollution, and provide what is essential for citizens and other species. They do this much more cheaply and effectively than concrete equivalents.
This means you can choose from species with a reasonable chance of doing well in your design location, and understand the long term results, crops, benefits to wildlife and more.
Wild Streets has ecosystem service estimates and ecological data from industry standard sources built-in for each tree you place, allowing you to understand long-term results of a design, and offers valuable guidance for biodiversity net gain requirements of new developments.
Understanding locals’ preferences for nature is critical to the perception of a completed project and its longevity.
Wild Streets collects social data whenever citizens view or create designs in the app. By gathering insights from aggregated data on people’s green space preferences, placemakers will know exactly who they are designing for and can draw inspiration from people’s actual ideas.
Trees in hard landscapes generally need help to thrive, especially as they get established. Planting systems that allow for root growth, air circulation, and water-holding capacity are critical.
Wild Streets will feature tree pit options along with the chosen trees to better design the space, and estimate costings and benefits.
With an eye on the future, Wild Streets is developed based on a flexible API design. We’re mindfully exploring AI opportunities and discussing future integrations with our network of other tech companies covering everything from landscape maintenance to surveying.
